do's vs. don'ts

Zaega is really lucky to have as one of our experts an incredible esthetician, spa therapist and educator in Krista Kiley.  I was lucky enough to work with Krista on the Spa business at Aveda and learned so much from her over the years.  She has truly been an inspiration to me and I respect her experience and knowledge immensely.  Now, as an independent Spa consultant and therapist, she is contributing to Zaega articles related to skin and spa therapies.  Have you read her first Zaega feature article, The best formula for summer skincare yet?  In it, she talks about the effect sugar has on our skin.  This is a big problem for me, as I have a huge sweet tooth, but when I pay attention to cutting back on sugar, I also recognize how much better I feel.  Our bodies really do tell us what we need and what we don't.

In Zaega articles like Krista's, and in my first article, Fear not! -Or: Is my face cream really that bad?, we try to give you "do's" instead of "don'ts".  There is so much negative news out there, sometimes it's scary.  Like, when I read headlines about lead in lipstick and carcinogens in baby products.  But, with Zaega, I get to choose the news.  My intent, and the intent of our team of experts, is to sort through the scary stuff for you, tell you what you really need to know, and then give you some tips about things you should "do" instead of a list of things you should avoid.  The world is so full of bad news, it's often easier to focus on the negative.  My hope, however, with Zaega is that our messages and product offerings inspire you to do good things and empower you to make healthy decisions for you and your family.
