Our promise to you -beauty you can trust™. At Zaega™, we seek to be totally transparent in all aspects of our business. Our promise to our customers is to hold every brand and every product up to evaluation under strict criteria. Think of it as eco-algebra, if you like, but it is the formula by which all our products are assessed:
Nonharming: Is the product safe for people and planet all the way through the entire life of the product: sourcing, processing, manufacturing, packaging, use, post-use?
High performing: Does the product pass our expert evaluations on a variety of performance attributes?
Truth telling: Does the manufacturer walk their talk? Can we confidently stand behind their words to ensure integrity of product’s promise and messaging?
If the brand and its products pass all three tests, it is beauty you can trust —and that’s the Zaega promise.
New Vendor Questionnaire. We ask very specific questions of all our brand partners with regard to these three criteria:
1. Nonharming: Do you have a policy against using specific ingredients? If so, what are they are what are your reasons for exclusion? Zaega conducts our own evaluation of ingredient deck—however, please provide a word or excel document with complete ingredient listings for all products. Also, please provide information regarding sourcing claims for: ingredients (i.e. if you have a unique sourcing claim, such as place an ingredient comes from, or certified organic, please provide more information to substantiate) and packaging (i.e. please provide information on your eco-packaging claims, such as % PCR content and materials used).
2. High performing: Zaega evaluates performance on all products we wish to sell; what is your product performance standard and how do you evaluate performance? Please share any consumer, professional or clinical testing that you have conducted.
3. Truth telling: Pease list your packaging and website / advertising claims and describe how you substantiate those claims. Do you have a progressive environmental policy? If so, please elucidate and verify. Do you have any social responsibility claims? If so, please elucidate and verify.
