As a young girl growing up in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, I loved nothing more than music, the Minnesota State Fair and family vacations. I graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a Chemistry degree (thanks in part to my amazing high school chemistry teacher, Mr. Theodore Molitor, who turned me as a 16-year old girl on to the world of science). After landing my first job out of college as a Cosmetic Chemist, I knew instantly that I had found my passion. Being the overachiever that I am, I decided to go to business school to get a Masters degree in Marketing. But, even though my diploma from the University of Minnesota hangs on my office wall, I owe my husband, Lloyd (a serial entrepreneur), for teaching me everything I know about business.
Over the past 20 years I’ve spent in the beauty business, I have created many well known and award winning products for brands including Aveda® and Intelligent Nutrients®. But what steered me to my entrepreneurial ‘aha moment’, was the realization that all of us want to be healthy and beautiful –as well as kind to the environment; but, we’re all confused about where to go to get good advice, who to trust and, ultimately, which brands to buy.
I’m not an activist and I have no hidden agendas. I’m just a mom who happens to know a bit about healthy beauty; but who like you, wants to do the best I can for myself and my family. It’s my hope that Zaega™ will encourage you, no matter who you are, to make healthy choices whenever and wherever you can, and to be the best that you can be.
Our mission at Zaega is to inspire and empower you with credible information about beauty, health & wellness, and to make it easier to find the best products for your own health and the health of your families.
The process of developing Zaega was shared with Co-Founder, Anni Davis, a strategist extraordinaire, whose passion for health & healing and quest for the best, most natural and effective skincare products available, greatly influenced the vision of the company. In addition, partners including Troy Brandt and the team at Take it to Eleven, Karen Zusman, copywriter, Carrie Hartman, illustrator, Bob Pearl and Serge Jacinto, videographers have each played a significant role in making the vision of Zaega a reality. To the many trusted advisors, friends and colleagues who have been sounding boards, supporters (even video talent) through the months of development, Zaega would not have been possible without your help.
To Zaega guests and customers, this site has been developed for you. So, please let us know how we’re doing. Click here to contact us. Thank you for your feedback and for your support!
